Fire Outbreak in Kampala City

By midday, several ambulances belonging to the Uganda Police Force (UPF) and the Uganda Red Cross were seen evacuating survivors to hospital as the Police Fire and Rescue Services team struggled to contain that had raged on for five hours and whose cause is a still a subject of inquest.

At least three people have been confirmed dead and several others injured following a fire that broke out at Sunrise Hotel in down town Kampala on Wednesday morning, city authorities said.
